Aziza Zahran - Delivering Therapeutic Services to Youths in New York
Experienced in intervention strategies and social welfare policy, Aziza Zahran is a care manager with Catholic Charities of Onondaga County. She performs comprehensive assessments and reassessments of youth in social services, rehabilitation, and medical and behavioral care. Aziza Zahran also plans and executes crisis intervention plans as needed and coordinates services between parents, clients, and applicable agencies.
Ms. Zahran was a child support professional with the Harmony in the Home program (operated by Access CNY in Syracuse) for almost a decade. She worked with children diagnosed on the autism spectrum, helping them gain social and life skills at home and in the broader community. She assisted with homework and reading and writing skills while emphasizing a positive behavioral approach.
Ms. Zahran places social justice at the forefront of her activities and serves on the Syracuse Peace Council’s Justice for Palestine committee. Aziza Zahran is credentialed in psychology first aid and counseling persons with developmental disabilities.
